NBIS encourages Teachers to organise trips for their classes or sections. Typically, students in Early Years or Primary will go on 3 or 4 trips each year. Most of the trips are day trips to places of local interest and are linked to the curriculum. Students may visit the Zoo, the Science Park, museums, various parks or even something as simple as a Dumpling Restaurant to learn how dumplings are made and to then have a go themselves!
Secondary students may go on 2 trips each year and may venture further afield … Beijing, Hangzhou or Shanghai. Recently, students have been on a weekend trip to Shanghai to attend an internationally renowned dramatic presentation (The Blue Men), visit the Art Quarter and take in the Science Museum.
All trips are risk-assessed and approved by the Hi-Tech Zone Government before children can sign up. NBIS follows stringent permission policy and implements safety measures as required.
